Your breathing began to pick up as the mossy and creaking metro came to a stop, your breath fogging up the dirty stained window. Here you were. Kicked out of your parents house for being a freeloader, you found yourself oddly attached to a place in little town Oregon called Grants Pass. At first it seemed like a horrible idea, traveling hundreds of miles just for an aesthetic and broken down town, but something in your gut said "do it!"
Grabbing your suitcase and letting out a soft sigh, you slowly make your way out of the green train, his bones shaking in your skin. You felt alone. Lost. Where do you go? You had little money, a few shirts, and nowhere to call home. You almost felt your bottom lip trembling. But before you could panic, a friendly pair of eyes meet Y/C ones.
"Welcome, Y/N, to Grants Pass!" His voice was laced with something out of this world.. But before you could reply, he was joyfully walking away. "W-wait, I-" The figure gradually upgraded to a run, you could clearly see a teasing smile on his face. As you ran to keep up with the male, you found yourself feeling light and oddly.. happy. A small smile was placed across your plate as you began to run after him, slowly making your way to
a small river. The waves were steady, but violent at the same time. You stared at it for just a while, before you look up at the stranger.
"Why did you bring me here?" You demanded, not particularly angry, but confused.
"I didn't bring you here. You followed me." Kingston snickered as Y/N's face light up. "This is the Rogue River. We get absolutely wasted here. But it also gives us a feel of euphoria. We are the new generation." He spoke with hand movements, having no care in the world.
"Something is off a-about this place! It's too quiet!" You shook your head, clearly confused of the whole ordeal.
"This is Grants Pass, dear. There isn't drama tv shows for miles, no camera crews, no strip clubs. Just yourself, your thoughts, and your surroundings. He sat down on a log, brushing off a beer can.
"Welcome to your life."
